“While selling Mobil products in 1930, Mr. H.L. Reeves, the founder of Reeves Oil, went on to become the commission agent for Mobil Oil in 1947. Mr. Reeves established himself in Gladewater, Texas, and eventually served 3 terms as Mayor of Gladewater from 1952 to 1958.
